12 members of the Toledo Village Volunteer Fire Dept. spent the day at the Community Center in Basic Life Skills Training. This is the third step for many of these to become first responders, additional training will be in a couple of weeks. The goal of today's training is to help gain knowledge and skills needed to respond to cardiac arrest in victims of all ages. Each member practices response, and learn how to act as a team. Thanks to Karen Peek of Humble, TX for driving up to our area to make sure that each fireman has hands on training with certification in basic skills that can help in case of an emergency in our community. This BLS training as well as the other CPE and AED training programs are approved by numerous federal, state, and local agencies. Today's volunteers include Charlie Barnes, Amy &Klaus Gehr, Bubba Johnson, Walter McMillian, Leisha Wells, Ed Eckels, Gayle & Lorenzo Lescano, Mike Sprinkle, and Cliff Schadler. We are so Proud! Thank you for your service. See all photos - go to -
